  • My approach to counseling is strength-focused, warm, and interactive. My professional background is diverse in working with populations such as adolescents, military families, LGBTQ, and parents, from diverse cultural backgrounds. I practice with intent to help clients gain direction and clarity that I feel each client has the ability to access. I operate within the understanding that each individual is worthy of having a place where they feel safe and important, while visiting struggles and internal questions.

Rachel Katzman LCSW
  • I am a licensed clinical social worker using modalities such as strengths-based perspective, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. I provide both short-term and long-term mental health care. I take a holistic approach, addressing stage-of-life concerns, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. I am committed to inclusivity. I strive to build trust and transparency in my client relationships.

Elisa Blanco LCSW
  • My experience includes supporting clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, grief, substance abuse, and through stressful life transitions. I have worked with adolescents, adults, individuals with disabilities, active duty members, and veterans. I am skilled in crisis intervention and addressing suicidal ideation. I’m passionate about creating a safe space to allow clients to speak freely without fear of judgement, and to empower you to attain your goals. My approach values the importance of seeing a person as a part of their environment, and spotlighting those strengths to help you make the change you want to see. My goal is to help clients feel heard and supported in their therapeutic journey.

Ginger Main Chun LCSW
  • Ginger’s strengths lie in working with people going through life transitions. She takes a strengths-based, client-centered approach in her work. She provides couples therapy based on the Gottman Method and has an interest in empowering the LGBTQIA+ community, especially in helping parents provide a gender affirming environment for their kids. She has a background in new parent support and attachment parenting.

    With over 16 years of experience working in social services, Jennifer brings a deep understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and systems shape mental health and well- being. She supports individuals navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relational stress.

    As a clinically trained social worker, Jennifer practices from a trauma-informed perspective, with attention to how past experiences and patterns may shape present challenges and emotional responses. Her work is grounded in collaboration, cultural humility, and evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and strengths-based interventions.

    Jennifer received her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Jennifer strives to create a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Angela Barrientes, LCSW - Midway Team
  • My goal as an LCSW is to encourage individuals to learn how to cope with difficult moments in their lives through intervention methods tailored for their unique circumstances. My experience ranges from adolescents to adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, stressful life stages, job loss, end of life, caregiver roles, pain management, dealing with terminal diagnosis and other mental health issues.

    My approach is a person-centered approach that promotes empowerment, personal growth, and self-determination. I believe that everyone can build from within their own strengths. I am skilled in cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, crisis intervention, solution focused therapy and grief therapy.

Kristina Taylor LMSW
  • My approach to counseling is through kindness, mutual respect, and empowerment. My professional background includes working with diverse populations and cultures. As the spouse of a retired military and Disabled Veteran, I have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by military families. My professional experience includes crisis management, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. I am also an advocate for individuals with mental health diagnoses to ensure high-quality counseling and care while reducing stigma. I provide person-centered, solution-focused support by leveraging clients' strengths to foster self-empowerment, resilience, and well-being.

Emily Nelson LMSW
  • My approach to counseling is grounded in uncovering and nurturing your strengths while holding space for your humanity with understanding and respect. Together, we work to explore core motivations, beliefs, and any barriers to living authentically. Therapy can often feel overwhelming or uncertain, so I strive to humanize the process, offering practical skills and tools that support living in your truth.

    I use an eclectic therapeutic framework that includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Systems Theory, Relational-Cultural Theory, and the Liberation Health Model. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which helps process anxieties, traumatic events, and phobias.

    I work with a variety of populations and issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ individuals, religious trauma, neurodivergence, adolescents, young adults, mid-life adults, parenting, and postpartum individuals.

Leanna Taliaferro LMSW
  • Leanna has years of experience working with at risk youth, individuals, and families in the school system, behavioral healthcare hospital, private practice, and non-profit settings. She has worked with children, adolescents, single parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, unsheltered persons, and individuals struggling with alcohol and substance abuse. Leanna has served in the role of Inpatient Clinical Therapist, Multisystemic Community Therapist, Case Manager, and Facilitator. Leanna has experience working with adults, adolescents, children, families, and groups in the following areas: Depression, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Abuse, Alcohol Abuse, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Self-Harm Behavior, Anger and Stress Management, Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Trauma and Abuse, Children and Adolescents within the Foster Care System, as well as Suicide Assessment and Safety Planning. 

    She is dedicated to fostering a secure environment for her clients—one characterized by non-judgment, trust, and respect—to facilitate effective healing.

Vanessa Fears LMSW
  • What continues to work even after it gets fired? A neuron. Vanessa Fears, a dedicated social worker, understands the complicity of brain functions and the healing powers of neuroplasticity. She is dedicated to supporting individuals to “fire and wire” their neurons in ways they believe will be beneficial for their lives. Vanessa believes in a holistic approach in therapy, blending nutrition, spirituality, and various therapy methods like solution-focused therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She brings a delightful mix of humor, empathy, nutritional education, creativity, and restorative practices to her work. With years of experience supporting individuals and families affected by the challenges of carceral systems, trauma, foster care, and substance use disorders, she's truly devoted to supporting all ages wanting to heal. Vanessa is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Community Nutrition, Violence Prevention and Intervention, and Chemical Dependency. Her talent for building strong therapeutic relationships empowers those she works with to unlock their full potential and thrive!

I'm trained in EMDR, a powerful, evidence-based method for healing trauma, and I always work through a trauma-informed lens—honoring how past experiences may still be affecting you today.

    As a father, artist, and teacher, I connect well with adolescents, young adults, and parents. We all experience moments of external and internal challenges that can be difficult navigating on our own.

    I believe in mutual growth through psychodynamic approach, CBT, dialectical thinking, motivational interviewing, and strengths based perspective, and I have experience working in crisis response.

  • As an Air Force veteran with over seven years of experience, I bring both professional training and lived understanding to the work I do. I’ve had the privilege of supporting military-affiliated individuals, children, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and a genuine belief in each person’s ability to grow, heal, and thrive.

    I respect the important role that faith  can play in some individuals healing. For clients who are seeking faith-based therapy, I offer the option to integrate those beliefs into our work in a way that aligns with your values and goals.

    I specialize in helping individuals build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, life changes, or simply feeling stuck, I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore and empowered to move forward.
